How does it work?

Your child will be assigned a unique QR code that grants them access to our curated library of lessons and tools hosted on Seesaw.

Each weekday students will be assigned a new video lesson and corresponding activity to apply new skills. All found inside the daily Seesaw lesson. No need for a printer, email attachments, or workbook.

What does The Reading Fix Program cover?

The Reading Fix Program curriculum includes the following units:

  • Consonants (b, c, d, f, g, h..)

  • Beginning consonant blends (cr, fl, st, fl)

  • Ending consonant blends (-mp, -ft, -lk)

  • Digraphs (ch, sh, th, ph, wh)

  • Inflectional endings (-ed, -ing)

  • The 7 rules of syllabication 

  • Short vowels (a, e, i, o, u) 

  • Short vowel rules (-ck, -tch, -dge)

  • Long vowels (a-e, i-e, o-e, u-e)

  • Common vowel teams (ai, oa, ee, ea, ay)

  • Complex vowel teams (ou/ow, oo, oi/oy, ew/ue, aw/au, igh)

  • R-controlled vowels (ar, er, ir, or, ur) 

Your child’s learning plan will highlight only the units they need to master.

When can we do The Reading Fix?

It’s up to you! The asynchronous program is loved for it’s flexibility and works in all time zones.

Families choose 20 minutes each weekday for their child to watch the video lesson and complete the activity- a schedule that conveniently fits your day.
